Greetings fellow Bizarros:
Do you remember your eighteenth birthday? I was already
in college for mine and my friends took me to an off campus
party where they were serving beer. It wasn’t much of a
milestone, but then I like to keep things simple. Apparently
it’s different in Louisiana.
Thesmokinggun.com just published a story about an eighteen-
year-old “man” who was arrested in a public parking lot on
obscenity and trespassing charges.
It seems John Hudson was celebrating his recently passed
18th birthday by prowling the parking lot at the Hixson
Autoplex in Monroe.
Police discovered him wearing women’s lingerie and fishnet
stockings. Hudson explained that he was “masturbating in
the parking lot and that he had a fetish.”
The police also discovered ****ographic magazines, women’s
clothing, lotion, and a pink dildo with pubic hairs on it
between two cars on the lot. I’m not sure what kind of
fetish involves lingerie, a dildo and used cars…but it
was a Ford dealership.
Bizarrely,
Lewis

———– Mayor proposes a snow-free Moscow ————-
MOSCOW – Residents of the area surrounding Moscow said a
proposal by the city’s mayor to keep snow out of the city
has raised concerns about flooding. Mayor Yuri Luzhkov said
cloud-seeding technology could be used to keep snow out of
Moscow for only one-third of the annual cost of snowplows
and other removal operations, The Times of London reported.
Luzhkov said the technology is already used to ensure sunny
days for special occasions, including the annual parade
celebrating victory in World War II. “Why don’t we keep
this snow outside the Moscow city limits?” the mayor said.
“For the countryside, this means more moisture and bigger
harvests. And for us, less snow.” However, residents in
outlying regions raised concerns that preventing snow from
falling on Moscow could cause flooding in their areas. “On
those holidays when they clear the clouds over Moscow the
surplus precipitation becomes a problem for us,” said
Vladimir Litvishkov, a land management official near the
city.

———- University offers Wii-based gym class ———–
HOUSTON – Officials at the University of Houston said they
have found an effective strategy for drawing students to
fitness classes — using the Nintendo Wii. Charles Layne,
chairman of health and human performance at the school,
said students taking the Wii-based fitness course can earn
an hour of credit, the same given to students who take
weight lifting or sports classes, for playing physically
active games such as Wii Fit, the Houston Chronicle report-
ed. Layne said the Wii class stemmed from the school’s
desire to attract students who would otherwise avoid fit-
ness classes. Ben Hoffman, the instructor of the class,
said students are required to log 20 to 30 minutes of
activity on the games each class. “I laughed at first,”
Hoffman said of his reaction to the announcement of the
Wii class. “I have one, so I knew it wasn’t just playing
video games on your couch.”
———- Victoria’s big bloomers sell for $989 ———–
DERBY, England – A British auctioneer said a pair of
bloomers that once belonged to Queen Victoria fetched a
high bid of $989. Charles Hanson, the Derby, England,
auctioneer in charge of the sale, said the bloomers,
which were worn by the queen in the later years of her
1837-1901 reign, garnered interest from buyers spanning
the globe, Sky News reported Tuesday. “There was interest
from all over the world,” Hanson said of the bloomers,
which measure 52 inches around the waist. “We had three
or four Americans who were caught up in the romance of
Queen Victoria, I think, and then there is a lady from
Vancouver who has a great collection,” he said. “She was
the underbidder in this case, the higher bid came from
the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection.” Hanson said the
bloomers will join the collection at Kensington Palace
in London.
