Tonight, Feb 26th 2008, The MoJo Red Devils played a TWL Sabotage match against a very tough Heavy Duty team. But this match was a little more special than most.
We recently learned that a dear friend of mine from my old PES365 days lost his wife in her battle with cancer. Like me... Lynn Hoy had tumors in her brain, but unlike mine, her's were cancerous. My pal Davie and his 4 kids had a lot of time to prepare for their loss, but still, it's a devastating blow for this great man, friend, father and husband.
Lynn and Davie both offered me prayers and well wishes as I was going through my tests...even as they battled her health. I never forget nice people. When we found out Lynn didn't have much time left, MoJo pitched in and donated a little money to a fund that alowwed their family to enjoy one last vacation together at Euro Disney. They went and I hear they had a great time!
Last Thursday Lynn passed away peacefully in here home in Scotland.
Tonight MoJo dedicated this match in Lynn's memory and in support for Davie and his kids. I know nobody on the team knows Davie, but he is a remarkable guy. A guy that every father and husband could take a few lessons from.
The team all donned a +LH tag on their names for this match and carried the memory and fighting spirit of Lynn with us. Lynn is gone, but will never be forgotten. She was a tough woman who fought her sickness for a long time. Tonight MoJo fought for her and we brought home a convincing 4-1 win on mp_Pipeline.
This really meant a lot to me personally Red Devils. You are all so gracious and never hesitated to add the +LH to yuor name. Thank you so much and I am sure this screenshot will find it's way to Davie and his family so he knows he is in our thoughts and prayers. I know I'll never forget this one.
