Week 5 wasn't the best for the Devils. In fact it was our worse week since week 1 when we went 2-2. The SnD monster bit the team this week as both of our losses were in the SnD Ladder. We had won 4 in a row in SnD and now we have dropped 2 in a row.
Even with the two losses, there were two great wins. One amazing win actually in Sabotage!! Let's get to the recap!
Monday Feb 11th, TWL Hardcore SnD on Crossfire.
Delta Force Rangerrs were our opponent on Monday and they were a good team...that could get one shot head shots, through walls, from across the map. Amazing really. lol but we couldn't execute well at all on offense or defense and lost 11-4
Tuesday Feb 12th, TWL Hardcore Sabotage on Crossfire: *Match of the week
This match was MoJo's challenge for rung #5 in the Hardcore Sabotage ladder...and this was by far the best comeback and most intense game ever played at MoJo. Opponent was Heavy Duty for this one and it was indeed a wild one!
The first round was a long round, but it was a win for the Devils. The next 2 rounds of the half went to Heavy Duty. This put MoJo down 2-1 at halftime, with 4 rounds needed for the win. On comes Smirnoff...the super sub :)
The start of the second half saw Heavy Duty simply waltz down to the bomb, plant and take a very commanding 3-1 lead. This meant The Devils had to win 3 in a row to bring home a win. Heavy Duty won 3 in a row, there was no reason why we couldn't.
The next 2 rounds in regulation brought out the best in the Red Devils. Great comms, great timing on attacking/defending and a lot of killing. MoJo wins 2 in a row to force overtime on a rather stunned HD team at this point.
The overtime round was over rather quickly as we quickly pushed our way down to the bomb as Kahuna was able to get in position in the building wher most of them were and take them out as Super Sub Smirnoff grabbed the bomb, pwned some worn out HD's and planted. OT was over in a hurry and The Red Devils get an amazing comeback win on a tough map!!
Friday Feb 15th, TWL Hardcore HQ on Strike:
A good 2 day "rest" for a busy team did us good as we headed into a crucial match with MoB. MoJo held rung #2 on the ladder and MoB wanted it to be below their smack talk buddies GoM. But even their server lag and players with 140 ping on their server wasn't enough to stop the Red Devils great second half performance to win 620-420. Was a great performance in the 2nd...but we had a lot of mistakes! Still room for improvement boyos!
Saturday Feb 16th, TWL Hardcore SnD on Strike:
A rising DPG team challenged us and we knew we were in for a fight on this one. Not our usual starters suited up to start this one and they performed really well! RA led the team and it was 8-2 at half in favor of DPG...but the Devils hung in there, brought it back to 10-7 before DPG got the win in this one. DPG was very well prepared and I guess had a sniper that made Aymuni look like Stevie Wonder.
All in all a good week Devils.....we have work to do in SnD...but the good thing is you all know that. So lets keep working on. You all did very well in Sabotage and HQ this week...two huge wins!! But guess what...the matches are going to get harder and harder! A very tough team has challenged us in Sabotage for Tuesday. No time to slcak off!!
Keep it up guys! We're having a lot of fun and staying active. It's great to see!
